I've made an entry in this book shortly after Dutchie Passed away ... Like all things,we tend to either neglect or forget to keep them alive ...Recently I made a friend online and have just introduced her to Dutchie's music etc ... She now has the site bookmarked and has listened to, and enjoyed his music as well.. She too now will pass this on to her friends in Holland... So you still live Dutch... Never to be forgotten.... Later man ..

I was sad to hear Dutch left us. I filled in from time to time on percussion with Dutch at the Smith Cove Trailer Park, Digby, NS, back in the early 60's. We had some great times together. Dutch inspired me! Miss you man.

What an awesome weekend! Music great, people great, and so well organized. There's no way I can say what was "best". I came home Sunday night tired, happy, and already looking forward to next year. Would love to see Rita Chiarelli.

Great festival again this year, we have been to all of them and they continue to impress. Very happy to see a rock and blues legend like Rick Derringer there he was awesome, the Twisters, Sue Foley, great talent from Canada, hope to see George Thorogood at the next one. Please let the fans know earlier this year what the lineup is as we spoke to a number of people who did not go because they made other plans not knowing who was going to be there. Looking forward to next year. Thanks

First I would like to thank all the organizing comittee for the great work that they have done!

I meet Dutch in my late teens (mid 80s)at a bar in Edmundston that I was working at the time (the old cabaret). He was back stage and I brought him his bottle of rhum and a pack of smokes! The Prime minister of blues asked me if their was a song that he might be able to play for me? I requested that he played Slow Fried Balogna of the album Special Brew!
He repplied with a strang look on his face that he was supprised at the choice of song? He was very happy 'cause it wasn't one of his most popular songs and asked me why that song? I told him that I didn't think it would be on his play list and that it had a very catchy beat! the look on his face was priceless, he smiled at me and asked me my name. I told him that it was Roch (rock) and he told me it should be Blues with a great big smile!!!!!!
That night he played the song and dedicated it to the Rock'n Blues boy!!!

That's a moment in my life that I'll never forget!!!!!!!

See ya their next year ladies and gents.
